    A Professional Engineer with an impressive eye for detail, he remains actively involved in the procurement and delivery of our major projects, particularly in the primary process sector.

    Dennis Ebert


    With over 40 years of construction industry experience and a founding director of Ebert, Dennis’ skills are widely recognised and respected by his peers.

    He is a former Executive member of the Master Builders Federation and Past President of the Master Builders Association in Taranaki.

    Mike is responsible for managing our business throughout the Lower North and South Islands, including procurement of new contracts and the overview of all construction activities.

    A Professional Engineer, his background in design and construction management is particularly suited to fast-track projects that benefit from the contractor’s input at the earliest stage.

    Nigel is Ebert’s Independent Chairman. He has 25 years of experience providing management and governance support to businesses, including five years spent as CEO of a major specialist professional services firm, leading its business improvement and turnaround division.

    Mark Leech

    Regional Manager, Northern

    Mark has more than 30 years expertise in the construction industry, both in the UK and New Zealand. Promoted through the ranks, Mark’s career path has involved him in all facets of construction.

    This gives him expert understanding of ‘end to end’ construction processes and is an excellent background for his role of Regional Manager, Northern for our Auckland business.

    A Quantity Surveyor by trade, Wayne has extensive experience in the commercial management of construction projects throughout New Zealand, the USA and the United Kingdom.

    This provides Wayne with an excellent background for his role as Estimating Manager, where inputs are key to the quality and effectiveness of Ebert’s preconstruction processes.

    Jonathan McKenzie

    Commercial Manager

    Jonathan has extensive commercial expertise based on a proven track record in procurement and construction.

    With career experience which includes commercial management for a Chartered Quantity Surveyor firm and senior QS and leadership roles for leading national construction contractors, Jonathan has contributed to the success of multiple large construction projects and has delivered outstanding results for clients in both the UK and New Zealand.

    Engineering Manager

    Jason is a qualified structural engineer with a solid background in design and construction. Returning to New Zealand from roles in the Middle East and the UK, he has spent the past two years as Ebert’s Senior Design Manager.

    Jason’s success in that position is an excellent foundation for his new role heading up our design management and engineering teams.

    In addition to estimating and procurement, he is actively involved in the commercial management of projects following award, through trade letting and including the ongoing management and review of significant subcontractors.

    As Operations Manager, Dennis is responsible for the successful execution, delivery and financial performance of all of our projects in the company’s Southern Region.

    His excellent interpersonal skills, sound financial acumen, and extensive industry knowledge have enabled him to play a significant role in most of Ebert’s major projects.

    Grant Cross

    Design Manager

    Grant joined Ebert after completing his Masters degree in Management and has worked in various project management roles from Site Manager to Contracts Manager.

    An architect by trade his understanding of the design process is matched with a detailed understanding of the works on-site. Grant is responsible for the design management of the Southern region’s design build primary process projects.

    Group Manager, Organisational Development

    Ruth has over 20 years experience in all aspects of Human Resources both in New Zealand and the UK. Ruth's main responsibility is to drive strategic development and organisational change to enhance the cohesive growth and development of Ebert Construction and all its staff members.

    Ruth has been with Ebert Construction for a number of years and is focused on ensuring that the IT, Health & Safety and Human Resources functions effectively support the business.
